Dwyane Wade has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a fractured right elbow.

58cb9ef180fe3.jpg

An MRI on Thursday morning confirmed that Wade has a "sprain and a small fracture" in his right elbow. The Bulls have ruled him out for the regular season, but it's currently unclear if he can make it back in time for the playoffs if the Bulls can sneak in (he'll be re-evaluated in a week). With Wade out, Jimmy Butler gets a massive bump in usage and Rajon Rondo benefits as well. However, the biggest winner could be rookie Denzel Valentine. Over his last five games, Valentine has averaged 9.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals and 2.6 triples. Wade has a player option for $23.8 million next season and it's possible he has already played his last game as a Bull

Marc Gasol achieved his third triple double of his career (second of the season) against Atlanta last night, finishing off with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and a +21 balance with him on the court, after playing 36 minutes. The game meant the third straight win for the Grizzlies, who are chasing Thunder and Clippers (nº6 and 5).

Gasol is the franchise leader and he is averaging 17.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.4 3-pointers over his last five games.
Actually, he is the player with more triple doubles in his franchise history. That can give you an idea of what kind of player he is.

Ivica Zubac had the game of his life on Monday vs. the Nuggets, racking up a career-high 25 points.
Magic Johnson said he wanted to see what Zubac could do in a 30-minute role, so we guess he got his answer. He played a career-high 30 minutes and shot a ridiculous 12-of-15 from the field with 11 rebounds, one assist and one block, showcasing a soft touch around the rim. Timofey Mozgov isn't even on the active list anymore and Zubac's competition for minutes consists of Tarik Black, so the upside here is enormous. The Lakers have three more games on the schedule this week and hopefully you took our advice last week and picked him up in all standard leagues.

Ricky Rubio has been playing the best basketball of his life over the last two months, and it has culminated with a brilliant week against some of the best point guards in the league. He outplayed Chris Paul and Stephen Curry in home victories over the Clippers and Warriors last week, then put up 22 points and eight assists in a loss at Milwaukee on Saturday.

But he’s never been better than in the first quarter against Wall and the Wizards. Threading bounce passes through windows that weren’t even open, Rubio doled out 10 assists in the first quarter. Bjelica was a primary beneficiary, catching a 40-foot outlet pass for a layup and a bounce pass that squeezed between two defenders and onto his fingertips for a layup that put the Wolves up 35-14.

Take a look at his fantasy numbers the last five games:

Mar-13 @WAS:74
Mar-11 @MIL:36
Mar-10 @GSW:52
Mar-08 @LAC:55
Mar-04 @SAS:61

You should consider including him in your roster.

Jusuf Nurkic played the best game of his career and one of the best stat lines of the season, finishing with 28 points, 20 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and six blocks on 9-of-18 shooting in 38 minutes of Thursday's overtime win against the Sixers. Even without the overtime period, Nurkic was all the way to a career night, but the overtime give him the possibility to add a few extra points, boards and a block for an incredible night.
He also hit 10-of-13 free throws, some of them of the clutch variety.

After being traded from Denver, where he was being outshone by Jokic, he has played incredible. The four straight victories of the Blazers seem to have a lot to do with Nurkic.

It does not seem this will be the last Nurk Alert of the season. For a 4M fantasy value, and the last 5 games performance being 31, 32, 67, 36 and 94
fantasy points.....You can not just miss him on your team.
A 4M player getting 94 fantasy points!!! Ridiculous!!!

Firts I'd like to say I am glad this forum was created to grants us the ability to discuss the NBA as a whole and topics that are just relevant to the NBA Fantasy League community. Kudos 👍😃 to the admin!!!

🤔Can anyone relates to this: You notice a player, probably on the "Top Performers" and/or "Top Bargains" lists, that's on a real hot streak but as soon YOU add him to your team, smile he sucks. It's usually a player that u weren't thinking about adding'em to ur roster if u had not seen'em on either of those list and now smile ur stuck with'em. 😒 I swear it seems like this happens to me on the reg.

Wolves-Blazers game, scheduled for Monday night, was postponed due to slick court, because of the warm weather in early March.

The problem was caused by condensation from an ice sheet underneath it and outside humidity on a day in which temperatures reached the mid-60s.

"I'd like to apologize to our fans and certainly to the Trail Blazers," Timberwolves president and coach Tom Thibodeau said shortly after the game was postponed. "Obviously the safety of the players has to come first. It's unfortunate, but it's the right thing to do."

It was the second time this season that a game had to be postponed because of a slippery court. The game between the Kings and 76ers in Philadelphia was postponed on Nov. 30. A makeup date will be announced in the coming days.

The ice sheet was recently laid under the court to accommodate a Disney On Ice production last weekend and the upcoming National Collegiate Hockey Conference tournament. The NCHC sent a tongue-in-cheek tweet to the Timberwolves that read "Sorry guys!" and included a gif of Steve Urkel's famous "Did I do that?" line from the television show "Family Matters."

The cavs have been working to improve the team so they can match up to Golden State, by acquiring Kyle Korver, Derrick Williams and Deron Williams first, and finally Bogut.

Bogut was the cherry on the top of the cake, and even his numbers were low lately, there was confidence on him to play some premium minutes.

But bad luck is always there waiting to strike. Just an hour or so after saying how excited he was to be joining one of the league's deepest teams, Bogut broke his left leg after playing just 58 seconds in his Cleveland debut on Monday night, an injury that could force the Cavs to resume their search for a big man.

Bogut had just been welcomed with a roaring ovation by Cleveland's crowd when his shin banged into the knee of Miami's Okaro White in the first minute of the second quarter. Bogut immediately knew his leg was broken, and LeBron James said he heard Bogut's bone crack on the collision.

Joker went off for a double-double on Sunday, a 19-16-10 triple-double on Tuesday, and a 13-14-10 triple-double last night.
It is his fourth tripledouble in 30 days, and he is being a really consistent player.
You should consider him seriously for your fantasy roster.

Kevin Durant has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 MCL sprain and tibial bone bruise in his left knee, and he'll be re-evaluated in four weeks.

KD will be "out of action indefinitely." While surgery hasn't been mentioned, this news is about as bad as it gets in fantasyland. If Durant were to miraculously return in exactly four weeks, the Warriors would have just six regular-season games left in April, so for all intents and purposes his fantasy season is kaput. The Dubs are saying there's a chance he'll return toward the end of the season, but the best-case scenario is probably a couple warm-up games before the playoffs start.

Jimmy Fredette is having a good time in China. He has been able to score 73 points in a game, and it is averaging 37.4 points, eight rebounds and more than four assists per game. Currently playing the playoffs with the Shanghai Sharks, he has been reportedly starting some conversations with some NBA teams in order to come back to the NBA when China competition is over.

Fredette played for Kings, Pelicans, Bulls and Knicks before going to China.

Mavericks guard Deron Williams was bought out on Thursday after the trade deadline passed, and it will not take long for him to find a new home on a championship contender. USA Today reports that Williams has informed the Cleveland Cavaliers he intends to sign with them.

The trade sending DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi to the Pelicans in exchange for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway and some draft picks was finalized on Monday.
"It was time for a change and I decided this was the best direction for the organization, said Vlade Divac. "Winning begins with culture and character matters." Divac went on to half-heartedly thank Cousins for his time in Sacramento and tried to justify the trade by hyping up the draft picks, but the line about "culture" and "character matters" is a pretty obvious shot at Boogie. Both Cousins and Anthony Davis will be sacrificing some touches as they learn to play together, but both of them should still be able to fill up the stat sheet. For what it's worth, Divac also said he had a better offer a couple days ago, so there's that.

While the common thought is that Cousins trade was a steal and a really bad Kings decision, there are other people stating that this trade is good for Sacramento, as with Demarcus away they get rid of an incessant source of problems. Now more questions come from Pelicans point of view. Will Cousins keep being Cousins? And even he becomes an angel out of the blue, Pelicans most important players are now the two big men. And they are mostly valued for their offensive side. Some of them should at least focus on the defensive end, will they be able to do it?

On the 122-107 Warriors win at Memphis, Draymond Green achieved one of the most unique triple-doubles in NBA history. He scored only four points, but added 12 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals and 5 blocks, with only two turnovers. He also established a franchise record for steals in a game.

It was the third game between Warriors and Grizzlies this year. The previous two had result in a victory for Memphis.
It is a pity he got only 4 points, as it was a great opportunity for him to get a 5x5. Actually, he was the first player ever posting a triple-double without scoring 10 or more points.

Warriors are 18-0 when Green gets a triple double. He is clearly one of those players that do everything well, a player you always want in your team.

Well done, Draymond!!!
