The "Top Performers" Curse

Firts I'd like to say I am glad this forum was created to grants us the ability to discuss the NBA as a whole and topics that are just relevant to the NBA Fantasy League community. Kudos 👍😃 to the admin!!!

🤔Can anyone relates to this: You notice a player, probably on the "Top Performers" and/or "Top Bargains" lists, that's on a real hot streak but as soon YOU add him to your team, smile he sucks. It's usually a player that u weren't thinking about adding'em to ur roster if u had not seen'em on either of those list and now smile ur stuck with'em. 😒 I swear it seems like this happens to me on the reg.

smilesmile There is another curse, you have seen a player in another team that is having an incredible performance, much much over his possibilities, so you put in your team.....and from that moment on the guy goes back to his pathetic performance....and probably you do not have any trades left to undo the disaster....smile

I destroyed Lowry and Buttler's great streak putting them in my team and they went first for a rest and then to the injury list or subpar performances.
What is even more awkward is number of injuries my players get the day after I acquired them: clint capela - jeremy lin - josh richardson - justise winslow...

Ocassionally you will end crushing a player's fantasy value when you add it to your roster, but that is the way it is.

There is, however, a golden rule to follow: never EVER change a player the day he plays. If you do that, your Darko Milicic crappiest center will display a Hakeem Olajuwon performance.

Ocassionally you will take care of your team, check that one of your players is injuried and replace it by another guy, you've been luckily enough to have some free trades left, and there is a Wolves player that plays that very same day. Afterwards you realize that the Wolves-Blazers match has been postponed. So you had in your team Towns, Nurkic and another guy you included to replace your injuried player and none of the three played last night. Well done, awesome manager!!!!
